SPORT PERFORMANCE SPECIALIST

The Sport Performance Specialist course is a unique accredited (KNGF, 48 points) sport-specific all-round course for professionals who want to take the next step as a movement specialist and/or physical trainer to optimally guide athletes or athletes. From prehab/rehab to performance, all aspects are covered that you need as a Sport Performance Specialist to be able to work from an athlete-oriented approach in both team sports and individual sports. You will be guided by real pros who have proven results with athletes behind their name. After completing the training you will be able to develop a detailed and periodized training program in which all aspects for the training of the individual athlete or sports team are discussed.

Content Sports Performance Specialist

In our 6-day training we learn to approach your sports performance in a whole new way. We use the Sphere Model and the Efficient Movement Model developed by us in combination with all tools that are currently applicable in top (sports) such as VBT (Velocity Based Training). The Sphere model does not emphasize a single aspect of training, but all elements that influence exercise and training, such as the biological, neurological and psychological aspects, are discussed. With the Sport Performance Specialist course, you learn from the sport and need analysis which (physical) aspects should be trained in a periodized training environment through various forms of monitoring with all innovative tools that are currently available.

The overview on the right gives a clear picture of what you learn as a Sport Performance Specialist.

Apply sport-specific exercise material with various materials; aquabags, Keizer equipment, barbells and kettlebells. Applying power and trunk stiffness with transfer to the sport/target movement.

Application in complex chain-like exercises.

Apply SEC/PEC and various forms of motor learning in practice with theoretical support.

Being able to apply progression and regression based on biomechanics to sport-specific exercise material.

From sports analysis via needs analysis of the athlete/athlete to ITOS (individual training exercises)

Agile periodization with sprints towards key events with load monitoring and embedded testing.

Coaching with external/internal cues. Motivating athletes through variety, progressive build-up and constantly setting new achievable goals.

Independent personality who is strong and confident, can think critically, is open to feedback and can substantiate matters well. Self-learning professional who reflects and acts on experiences.

  • You can work independently in a sports performance environment and offer the athlete/athlete the best personalized training to help him/her achieve the set goals in the physical field.
  • As a Sport Performance Specialist, you have the skills to jointly design and coach a tailor-made training for every athlete/athlete based on an agile periodization and associated sport and need analysis.
  • You can take an intake based on sport-specific tests and measurements to be able to individualize properly within the (sports) team (ITO). You can then formulate and substantiate a SMART objective.
  • You can design a sport-specific training schedule taking into account the sprints from the agile periodization and the need from the sport and the athlete himself towards a selected performance moment.
  • You master all practiced sport-specific exercises from sports performance to perfection and choose which exercises and which way of performing offers the best result based on the analysis of the sport and the athlete.
  • You are always in contact with the athlete/athlete and are able to carry out the individual training program depending on the circumstances and to change it if desired.
  • You can work as a Sport Performance Specialist thanks to the distinctiveness you have built up during the training.
